Okmulgee County Spring Livestock Show
February 5th – 11th, 2025

Academic Eligibility Form (New requirement)

ALL Livestock are to ENTER through the East Gate and EXIT through the Southwest Gate … NO EXCEPTIONS
ALL entries must have been purchased or owned before December 10, 2024. (Exception Broilers and Meat Rabbits)

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Wednesday, February 5th 

7:00-9:00 a.m.  Swine unloading & penning
9:00 a.m.          All Swine must be in barn
9:00 a.m.          Swine check in begins. Check in will begin by school in reverse alphabetical order.
ALL swine must have negative pseudorabies papers before unloading.  Validated herd must present health papers before unloading.  All swine must have an 840 tag IN THE EAR before unloading. A copy of the swine blood/health papers must be provided and left with show officials at the time of check-in.

                   ****Swine Showmanship must sign-up during check in****
12:00 p.m.          Swine Show Begins
Showmanship at the conclusion of premium sale line up
Set up for rabbit and chicken show at conclusion of swine show

Thursday, February 6th   

7:00-9:00 a.m.   All chickens in place and check-in UPDATE CHICKEN IN PLACE AT 8:30 SHOW STARTS AT 9:00 AM 
10:00 a.m Chicken Show-Broiler pens followed by fancy followed by showmanship
1:00 - 2:30 p.m.  All Rabbits in place and check in
4:00 p.m. Rabbit show - Meat pens followed by fancy followed by showmanship


*** Rabbit and Chicken Showmanship must sign-up during check in **

Friday, February 7th

10:00 a.m. All heifers in place
10:00 a.m. Check in registered heifers and weigh commercial heifers
12:00 Heifer show
Heifer showmanship immediately following
***Heifer Showmanship must sign-up during check-in***
Registered Heifers will be nominated, and registration papers MUST show ownership by December 10, 2024.
All heifers must have been born after January 1, 2023.
     8:00 p.m. or conclusion of heifer show                        Performance Steers tied in barn
                           *** NO FEED OR WATER ALLOWED***

Saturday, February 8th 

8:00 a.m. All Steers in place
8:00 a.m. Weigh Performance Steers followed by Prospect and Market Steers
10:00 a.m. Steer showmanship followed by steer show in this order: Prospect, Market and Performance
                   *** Steer Showmanship must sign-up during check in ***
8:00 a.m. All Goats and Sheep in place
Weigh Goats and Sheep at conclusion of steer weigh-in
2:00 p.m. or 30 minutes after steer show, whichever is later - Goat showmanship begins followed by Doe show, followed by Market Goat Show
Sheep show IMMEDIATLEY AFTER conclusion of Goat Show
          *** Goat and Sheep Showmanship must sign-up at check in ***

Sunday, February 9th    

2:00 p.m.  All students who have qualified for the Premium Sale will meet at the fairgrounds to set up for the dinner and sale.  Bring $5.00 minimum for Thank You cards & postage. (Dependent on the number of Sponsors each year)

Tuesday, February 11th    

5:00 p.m.  All Premium Sale Animals and buyer baskets in place.
7:00 p.m.  Premium Sale       

NOMINATIONS
Saturday, December 7th – All Species (except Meat Rabbit Pen)
                                           10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, December 10th – All species (except Meat Rabbit Pen)
                                            5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 11th – Meat Rabbit Pens 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
